I’m a filmmaker and visual storyteller with a deep love for capturing real moments and bringing ideas to life on screen. My work spans advertising, television, and feature films, and as a director of photography, I’ve shot award-winning projects that have played on HBO, Netflix, and PBS, as well as in theaters and festivals around the world. Most recently, I shot Food, Inc. 2, the follow-up to the groundbreaking documentary, released by Magnolia Pictures in 2024.

As a director, I thrive on collaboration—whether it’s crafting a sharp, visually-driven commercial, a brand film that actually feels human, or a product teaser that grabs attention without the fluff. My approach blends documentary instincts with a strong sense of composition and movement, always chasing those unscripted moments that make a story stick.

Through my production company, Andrew Jay Productions, I partner with brands to create high-quality, story-driven video content. I’ve worked with companies like Intel, Autodesk, Levi’s, and Google, helping them tell stories that don’t just check a box but actually connect.

I’m based in the SF Bay Area but ready to hit the road for the right project!
